Prostate Cancer
01 — Prostate Cancer
Overview
Prostate cancer develops in the prostate gland and is one of the common cancers affecting men. Many prostate cancers grow slowly, while some can be more aggressive and require active treatment.
Treatment decisions depend on factors such as the cancer’s grade, stage, PSA level, overall health and whether the disease has spread beyond the prostate. A detailed assessment is therefore important before deciding on the most appropriate management approach.

Diagnosis & Staging
Assessment may include a medical history, physical examination, PSA testing and other prostate investigations. A biopsy is used to confirm prostate cancer and assess its grade and characteristics. Imaging and staging tests may be recommended to determine whether the cancer remains localised or has spread elsewhere. These findings help the multidisciplinary team determine the appropriate treatment pathway.

Dr. Taori’s Approach
Dr. Taori has longstanding experience in medical oncology and has contributed to professional and public education on prostate cancer, including an invited academic presentation on carcinoma prostate. His role may include systemic treatment planning and coordination with other specialists involved in prostate cancer care. The treatment approach is based on the cancer’s stage and characteristics rather than a one-size-fits-all plan. This allows medical oncology to be integrated appropriately with surgery, radiation or other care.
